I joined Tenet in 2021 as a Procurement Consultant in the southern team, based at a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) local to me in Suffolk.
As an on-site Procurement Consultant, my role involves working with the MAT to provide a managed procurement service for them. This means I am responsible for the project management and leading the process for procuring contracts for a variety of categories, including: facilities, estates, finance, curriculum and ICT. I am also responsible for the review and development of a contracts register, carrying out regular spend analysis, along with looking after the procurement policies, strategy and identifying any potential savings.
The overall aim is to lead the embedding of best practice, efficiency and effectiveness within procurement processes and decisions, ensuring the MAT remain compliant with UK Public Contracts Regulations.
Having previously worked at West Suffolk College for nearly 14 years, I was already aware of the great services Tenet and CPC offered, so when they merged in 2017, it made total sense to me! I utilised both CPC frameworks and Tenet’s On-Demand services in my previous role and always admired how knowledgeable, supportive and friendly everyone I worked with was.
When the opportunity came to apply for a job with the CPL Group, I can honestly say I jumped at the chance, knowing what a brilliant company it would be to work for and how much I could grow my own procurement knowledge and progress my career with them.
