£20,000 awarded to Farnborough College of Technology

The College was awarded funding to invest in flexible learning resources, key to their digital transformation strategy of integrating IT for students.

The College applied for and was awarded funding by CPL Group to use towards new devices and laptops to increase the mobile flexible learning resource available to students.

The introduction of self-service lockers allows students to access devices as and when needed to complete their work. The devices will also be made available to students outside of lesson times for greater flexibility.

Karen Edmeads, Regional Procurement Advisor at Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC), part of the CPL Group, visited the College to present staff and students with their funding award.

Virginia Barrett, Principal at Farnborough College of Technology said:

We are delighted to be receiving funds that will help to create a modern technological environment at Aldershot College (part of Farnborough College of Technology), with the arrival of new laptop lockers. These will give greater flexibility and use of resources for both staff and students involved in our successful construction courses.

Peter Brewer, Managing Director at CPL Group said:

We are delighted to make this award to Farnborough College of Technology. CPL Group is an education owned charity that gives back to the sector and this award represents a fantastic opportunity for students to enhance their learning. We are committed to supporting projects put forward by our members that benefit their student cohort. CPC members can apply for funding for projects ranging between £100 and £20000. The new round of funding is available soon and we look forward to supporting similarly beneficial initiatives.
